Emergency Preparedness Workshop

Please join MU Extension, Shape Change St. Louis (Founded by NLF Alum, Kayla Moore), The Urban League, and UMSL’s Creating Whole Communities for a free emergency-preparedness workshop!

When:  July 19 from 10:00-noon

Where:  RCEW building at UMSL (8225 Florissant Road, St. Louis, MO 63121) 

Refreshments and resources will be provided.

Build your capacity to deal with the next weather event.  The workshop will cover the following topics:     

  1. Why preparedness matters.
  2. General preparedness.
  3. Household emergency plans (including communications and reconvening if family is scattered around town).
  4. Community preparedness (i.e. Who’s going to take care of Mrs. 87-year-old-next-door?).
  5. Managing important documents.
  6. Building a disaster-supply kit on a budget.

Please see attached flyer for more information.  The workshop is free and open to the public, but registration is required and space is limited.
